A cohort of leading international investment groups has retained Pepper to manage the transfer of a significant commercial loan portfolio, including several thousand loans and borrowers.

Client objectives

The client required the transfer to be completed within a tight timeframe of three months, which is significantly less than the norm. They also wanted to engage with borrowers as quickly as possible to agree strategies and plans and address the issue of “value leakage” due to inactivity.

The scope of the work included programme initiation, scoping and planning, execution and transition and take-on.

We delivered the transition programme within a six-week period. This included Primary and Special Servicing team set-up and training, migration of the loan portfolio, loan documentation transfer and transition to a business-as-usual operation
